Out of the total seats available in each district, 75% are reserved for rural candidates, 15% for Scheduled Castes (SC), 7.5% for Scheduled Tribes (ST), and 27% for Other Backward Classes (OBC). There is also a provision for reservation of 3% seats for differently abled children.
District-wise merit: The final selection of the candidates is done on the basis of their performance in the entrance exam and their district-wise merit. The merit list is prepared by considering the marks obtained by the candidates in each subject and their category.
